The licence you are buying

Buying CleanSpace grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software on one Mac. A second Mac needs a second licence. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the software or your licence key.

A Yearly licence works for 365 days from purchase. A Lifetime licence does not expire.

What happens when a yearly licence expires

The app keeps working. Scanning and all free features continue exactly as before; removal returns to the free allowance until you buy again. Nothing on your Mac is deleted or disabled.

Hardware changes

Licences are bound to a fingerprint derived from your Mac's hardware. If that fingerprint changes — most often because the logic board was replaced during a repair — the licence will no longer validate on that machine. CleanSpace does not reissue licences when hardware changes, so continued use on the repaired Mac requires a new licence. The free features keep working either way.

What the software does

CleanSpace deletes files you select. It is designed to make dangerous deletions difficult: system locations and personal folders are refused, risky items are never preselected, and removal goes to the Trash by default. Even so, you are responsible for what you choose to remove. Keep backups. The Shredder is deliberately irreversible.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the software. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to circumvent the licensing, distribute modified copies, or use the software to damage someone else's system.

Refunds

All sales are final. See the refund policy, and use the free tier to satisfy yourself before buying.

Changes

These terms may change for future purchases. The terms you accepted at the time of your purchase continue to apply to that purchase.

Before publishing: add the selling entity, its address, and the governing law and venue. Have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review this — consumer law varies, and some of these limitations are unenforceable in parts of the EU, UK and India.
